All partner schools worked hard beforehand to produce the work set in preparation of the meetings. Students designed logo drafts for the project and the logo competition was held at each school. Students prepared presentations to introduce their schools to each other, and collated recipes.

1. School presentations.

The students presented their schools at the beginning. This helped to get the first overview and information about all participants and the several schools. Furthermore the focus lied on the comparison of different types of school philosophies, possibility of education, school menus at the cantines and their sustainability or nutrition or sustainability in general (e.g. green school).

The main focus of this cooperation was the correlation between physical education and the cognitive performance of our students. So the participants learned basic information about the importance of physical exercise during their daily routine and the influence of sports in general. They learned to evaluate surveys and had the possibility to create their own parcour . They also did a survey about their personal perception (e.g. well-being).

4. Sustainability and fair trade.

During this workshop students focused on the correlation between the increasing number of the world population, mass consumption and production and the importance of sustainability and fair trade in general. The planned visit to Nord Süd Kontor designed to give the students an insight into the idea of FairTrade did not take place as the company failed to keep the appointment. Instead of the visit to Nord Süd Kontor we changed the plans and visited the Kochhaus Hamburg. This company is focused on sustainability in daily life, specially in reducing wastage and fairtrade. The visit to the Lebeleicht Company could not be organised as the company couldn’t accommodate all the students. So Leibniz School organised an activity at the Kochhaus Company, during which students conducted interviews with customers and members of staff and presented their findings.
